Hugh L. Willcox, Jr.

Hugh L. Willcox, Jr. was born in Florence, South Carolina on February 27, 1946. Hugh’s grandfather, Fred L. Willcox, was one of the firm’s founders. He has been recognized by the American Board of Trial Advocates, which made him a Fellow in 2001, for his extensive and respected trial work.

Mr. Willcox formerly served on the Board of Directors of Peoples Federal Savings and Loan Association, Board of Directors of First Federal of Charleston, Board of Directors of First Financial Holdings, Chairman of the Board of First Southeast Insurance Services Inc., and most recently the Southern Advisory Board for South State Bank.

Served on numerous community organizations including Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Pawleys Island, SC, Board of Directors of Pawleys Island Civic Association, Member and former President of the Florence Kiwanis Club, Board of Directors of the Florence Museum, Board of Directors of City of Florence Downtown Development Corporation, Board of Directors of McLeod Hospice House Foundation, Board of Directors of the University of South Carolina Alumni Association and Vestry of St. John’s Church. Member of numerous Conservation Organizations.
